How To Make Snow Ice Cream

I am so ready for the snow and freezing cold weather to be gone at this point (and I normally love winter!), but at least when it snows, you can have snowball fights, make some snowmen and snow angels, and, best of all, SNOW ICE CREAM.

I will have to admit, though, my dad taught me how to make this first. It's super easy and totally worth doing just to have something in the freezer next time you want something sweet but not too bad for you.

So here's how you make it:

// 8 - 10 cups of snow
// 1 cup of milk
// 1 tsp. vanilla
// 1/3 cup of sugar

And that's it! It's literally that easy. Stir it all up until it's the consistency you want it and you're good to go. If it's too runny, add more snow. If it's too thick, add more milk. And you can always add more sugar if you want.

What's your favorite part about winter?

Happy Monday, everyone! :)

  1. I've always wanted to make snow ice cream. We get snow once or twice a year in Virginia, but I never think to do it. Right now, we have 8-12 inches still. Maybe I'll make some tonight! :)

  2. Oh, man. All the snow just melted here. Dang. I used to work at a snow cone stand in high school and we had a flavor called Snow Ice Cream that was my favorite. I love pretty much any kind of ice cream though... =)

  3. wait WHAT. Why have I never heard of snow ice cream before?!?! It sounds like a little kids' DREAM. And also my dream, because you can bet I'm now on the hunt for fresh snow to ice-creamify.

  4. How have I NEVER heard of this? I mean, I am in California so it's not lie we'd be making it around here, but still. Sounds good, though!

comment, encourage, or tell me happy thoughts.
any of the three will do. :)
