Dressy Clothes for "Real Job" Interviews in 2015

{ Shirt: Old | Pants: Loft | Shoes: Payless | Bracelet: Ronaldo }

Normally, my outfits are pretty casual. Not that I don't like the dressier side of clothing, but I don't really ever have anywhere to wear the nicer clothes in my closet. Sure, I could wear them out without reason, but I also don't want to get accidentally stain or tear them since I have so few dressy clothes and I'm a bit clumsy. But since I DO actually graduate in May (THANK GOD) and I'll be going on interviews for what I've deemed "real jobs," or "grown up jobs," I figured it was about time to make sure that I had something appropriate to wear.

That being said, I didn't want to automatically pull out my blazer and assume that I had to wear it as part of my outfit. I wanted to look professional without going overboard and losing the touch of "me" in my outfit.

I ended up finding out that I have a few more dressy items in my closet than I thought I did. :)

What about you? Do you have an abundance of nicer clothes or are you lacking as well? Where do you wear your dressy clothes to aside from work? I'd love to hear!

Happy Monday, everyone! (don't work too hard!)

  2. oh this is super cute for any time, not just a job interview! I feel like I'm constantly trying to make sure the "business casual" pieces I have also look like something I would also wear if I didn't have to go to work...

    1. I agree! It's so hard to find places to wear nice clothes other than work. This outfit was absolutely comfortable enough that I could've worn it all day.

  4. Love this look--really suits you! I can never seem to pull off dress pants, but maybe because I don't have skinny ones like those!

    1. Thank you!! I actually normally have that same problem....that is, until I found these pants at Loft. :) I'm super short as well so the fact that they carry petite sizes is what really did it for me.

  5. I love this outfit! It is so hard finding nice "work" clothes (at least for me). I generally just hate dress pants. I can't wait until the spring time when I can wear pencil skirts and dresses and pair them with cute flats or wedges :)

    1. It really is! I'm only 5'1" so it makes finding pants much harder than finding dresses. I'm so ready for it to warm up!
