I swear I make promises to myself to eat and drink better on a regular basis. I'll make myself get up and go run (or, rather, my boyfriend will), but the next day I'll refuse to get out of bed til noon. I'll eat great for two or three weeks and actually feel 10x better, but then I'll have one late night Waffle House trip or Mcdonalds run and it all goes downhill from there.
I want to eat and drink healthier, I really do. So I'm a part of the Evolution Fresh blogger network. When they emailed me awhile ago about this Three Days To Green challenge, I figured I'd go ahead and try it. I mean, why not? I'm not normally one for "green" drinks, but I'm always up to try anything once. Plus! You can win a bunch of cool stuff, including a Jawbone Up band. Basically, all you have to do is buy three bottles, put in the codes on the bottle, and BAM! You're entered. Up to three entries a person.
And Evolution Fresh offers four cold-pressed green juices – including Sweet Greens and Lemon and Essential Greens with Lime – that pack more than one pound of green vegetables in each bottle. So there are a few to choose from if you don't like one or two.
So how did I use mine?
I threw one in my purse so whenever I wanted to munch throughout the day, I just drank some more of my juice. It was filling enough that I killed the munchy craving, but since I didn't drink it all at once, it didn't make me too full to eat lunch or dinner.
As for the taste, I was skeptical. Green drinks basically look like murky swamp water, so I'm always a bit hesitant to try it for the first time. But it definitely didn't taste like swamp water! It actually mostly tastes like cucumber, with a few other subtle flavors in there. I like cucumbers, so it worked out for me, but if you don't I wouldn't advise going with the Sweet Greens.
All in all, I think this challenge was a great idea. It got me to try a drink I normally wouldn't and gave me the opportunity to win a bunch of cool stuff as well. Maybe I'll actually even keep it up and start another healthy-kick (and maybe it'll actually last this time...).
Have you ever tried any Evolution drinks? If so, which ones did you like the best?
To show how amazing I think the drinks are, I want you to find out for yourself. So I'm giving away a box of Evolution Fresh drinks to one lucky reader. :) They won't all be the same one so you'll get a good idea of all the different flavors! The giveaway lasts two weeks and you must be in the United States (sorry!)
