Evolution Fresh Juices + Snack Bars

“I participated in an Influencer Activation on behalf of Millennial Central for Evolution Fresh. I received coupons for Evolution Fresh juices to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.”

I drink so much diet coke. Every day.

I try my best to drink a lot of water as well, but I have two jobs, and when I'm teetering on the edge of exhaustion in the middle of my shift...I really just want something with flavor to help keep me awake. Unless you can pour the cold water over my head, it doesn't do anything for me. I totally know it's unhealthy, but it's just convenient.

So when I heard about Evolution, I was super excited to try the brand. I don't live near a Whole Foods or a Starbucks, but, conveniently enough, I've been in Atlanta visiting my favorite cousins for the past couple of days attending an event at Aeropostale (more on that tomorrow!) ; Atlanta has multiple Whole Foods and more Starbucks than I can even think about counting, so I got up this morning (well, this afternoon really...I stayed up til 4 watching Marriage Bootcamp. Thanks, Netflix) and found the nearest Whole Foods!

This post is going to be long, so bear with me and my ramblings. I was given coupons to try seven drinks and instead of getting a couple of three or four kinds...I got seven different kinds! They have so many different flavors that I didn't want to limit myself with only trying a few.  I love trying new things, so I just completely went for it. And here's what I (and my cousin Meghan!) thought about them all:

Pineapple Coconut Water | When I first took a sip, I did not think I was going to like it. I expected it to taste completely different than it did. Honestly, to me, it doesn't taste like pineapple or coconut. When the two mix, it tastes like it's own entity. But after drinking it more, I actually really liked it and it's probably one of my favorites out of the bunch. It's not a super strong flavor either. Not quite sweet, but close.

Cucumber Pineapple Ginger | What I tasted most was cucumber, but in a refreshing way. If I was hot and walking in my house wanting a drink, I would grab this in my fridge. It's very light as well, and super refreshing. It'd be perfect after working out.

Carrot Apple | This drink is one that I could get used to the more I drink it and it's definitely an acquired taste. I love carrots, but they taste differently when mixed with apple, obviously. The more I sipped on it though, the more I liked it. It's not my favorite, but it could be one day if I keep drinking it. It's got a hint of sweet mixed in with the carrot-y taste. It also blow my mind that there's something like 30 baby carrots in this one drink.

Strawberry Lemonade | It's a super powerful strawberry lemonade. And it's delicious in every way.

Organic V | It has a LOT of different vegetables in it. Honestly, it wasn't my favorite. If I was ever feeling sick or just kinda "bleh" I would probably drink it because it has a high chance of making me feel better, but that's about it. I'm not a big vegetable person and I'm also a super picky eater. So it really could just be my weird taste buds.

Super Green | I love it. I don't know why I love it so much, but I do. I love green drinks most of the time because though they do have quite a few green veggies in them, they balance out pretty well with fruit without making it overly sweet. I could drink these once a day.

Sweet Burn | It has cayenne pepper in it, which is really interesting, and to be totally honest - I was a tiny bit scared to try it. I made Meghan try it first actually, to which she kept a straight face and just told me to try it myself (totally defeated the point of me making her try it first). The name is completely right. It's sweeter than what I thought, but there's definitely a burn in the aftertaste. For all you alcohol drinkers out there, it's almost like the after effects of taking a shot. It's a good burn, I guess? I don't know. It's definitely interesting and worth trying.

After all of this taste testing, I've definitely found a few that I'll keep buying and throwing in my purse whenever I'm heading out of the house to head to work. Or heading anywhere, really. They're pretty big drinks and they're super filling, so they're especially good when you need something fast. And I love fruity drinks, so those will probably be my go-to.

Evolution peels, presses, and squeezes raw fruits and veggies to make these super healthy drinks. Once they chill, blend, and bottle the juice, they use High Pressure Processing to protect and keep the flavors and nutrients fresh and delicious. And it absolutely works, because everything tasted super fresh, like it had all been just picked from my grandparents' garden.

AND they have granola bars!

I wasn't even asked to review these specifically, but since I was already trying the drinks, I figured it wouldn't hurt to throw in something else.

These do not taste like any other snack bar I've ever eaten. I'm so used to super sweet, chocolately granola bars that I was completely thrown off.

Cocoa and Nut | It's not sweet like you'd think it'd be, but it's still delicious. You can taste the cocoa and nut equally, which makes it even better.

Fruit and Nut | It's not particularly my kind of taste, because you can definitely taste the soybean, but Meghan liked it. Maybe I just don't like soybeans. I don't even remember ever trying them before
without them being blended in whatever the recipe for something is.

Nut and Seed | It's very earthy. I mean....really earthy. You can almost taste grass. But even so, it's still pretty good.

I'd keep these in my purse alongside one of the drinks to stay full and happy throughout the day instead of hangry. Hangry is never fun for anyone, and since I'm a waitress, I probably wouldn't make many tips while snapping on my tables.

If you ladies and gents would like to check out the company and what all they have to offer, they have all the main social medias to make that happen! :)

P.S. - I made ice cubes out of the Strawberry Lemonade and letting them melt into a drink - flavoring it as it melts. Since the taste of that particular drink is so powerful, I thought it would be perfect to try while it's so hot down south! You could even make popsicles! Most of the drinks are so refreshing that they'd all make fabulous popsicles. But here's what I made:

6 cubes of Strawberry Lemonade (they melt fast!)
Pour Sprite until about 3/4 full
Fill the rest with vodka (I use Titos)

Simple, right?

Which one(s) would you like to try? :)

Happy Wednesday!

  1. I love these! Unfortunately the Starbucks I work at doesn't carry the juices, but I picked up my fair share at Whole Foods when I was in Milwaukee. And the granola bars basically keep me alive during the school year when I have 10 minutes to go from work to class!

    1. Most Starbucks don't, apparently! I loved the juices but it'll be awhile before I can stock up again, sadly.
