Being Thankful Isn't Just For Thanksgiving

I was thinking about how long it's been since I've made a list of things I'm thankful for, and it's been since April 14th. And while that's not a very long time in the scheme of things, my list of thankful has changed somewhat since that last list was made. I fully believe that counting my blessings should be a daily thing, because Lord knows that I have so so so so much to be thankful for. I love my life, but on days that I work hard hours, seem like I'm in a monotonous routine, or have a HUGE caffeine headache (i.e. right now), it can be hard to remember what's so awesome about life in the first place. I'll probably have a sillier post for things I'm thankful for soon (likely involving Supernatural, Harry Potter, and Orange Is the New Black references...) but for now, this post is more serious. :)

Today, they are these:

// Gemma the adorable kitten. She really is basically my child and has converted me into a cat lady quicker than I thought possible. I love her dearly and if you haven't seen a picture of her yet, we aren't really friends. Having her for the past few months has been both wonderful and filled with scratches and a 3 month old kitten jumping on my face in the mornings to wake me up so I'll give her food.

// New places. Or, well, just places that aren't where I live. I get in such a rut sometimes when I'm home for long periods of time. I have some serious wanderlust, and I'm blessed to be able to have all of these opportunities to travel (Hello, Atlanta, I'll see you today!).

// Vanilla coke. For this caffeine headache I have right now (I know I should've toughed it out...but I'm such a wuss when it comes to any kind of head pain).

// All the blogger ladies I've met recently. I've literally met over 20 bloggers I regularly converse with in real life in the past month, and it is so fantastic to both learn things from them and hear "OMG you're so much shorter than I thought you were!" when meeting them for the first time.

// My roommate. Or rather, my housemate. I'm 100% convinced that Luisa is the best person to live with. She has the sweetest baby girl in the entire world that can literally brighten up my day just by smiling at me. Babies are my weakness anyway, and this one just learned to crawl and walk while holding on to chairs and such. Aside from that, a ton of the beautiful pictures you've seen on the blog lately have either been taken by her or taken with her camera by someone else.

// Friends. I "know" quite a few people since I'm in college - it just comes with living on campus for awhile and being in a relatively small town. But for the ones I'm truly friends with, the ones that stay friends with me in spite of my incessant blog talk, crazy work schedules, and sometimes even hundreds of miles between us...just know that I really do love you guys. Not to be too southern here, but all of y'all are more special to me than you know.

// The sweet blog comments I get. They make it all worth it. Seeing numbers go up is really great, but I love getting comments on my posts and I try to respond to all of them, even if it's a day or two late. Comments are what make the blogging world go round, in my opinion, and I just love can't get enough. :)

// The fact that it's my senior year of college! Terrifying though it may be, I am so excited to finish up my undergrad.

// My sweet boyfriend who not only puts up with me, but is also making it through nursing school at the moment along with being awesome and going out to get me caffeine. He also stays up with me til late night hours while I work on blog posts and write letters to people while stamping them with my Slytherin stamp.

// Lord of the Rings. For being a perfect background movie while I type this list up.

All of these things listed above are a perfect example of why I would make this face.

If anyone is in Atlanta today, shoot me an email! I'll be here til tomorrow afternoon! :)

Happy Monday, everyone!
