NOLA: Just Another Day in the FrenchQuarter

Recap #2.

So my boyfriend had never been to New Orleans before this trip that we took. And because of that, we tried to pack as much as we could into the two days we were there [minus getting up early for things...because we are so not morning people]. We walked a ton the first day we got there, which is really saying something since we'd both been up since 5 AM so we could leave early.

He tried beignets at Cafe du Monde, I made him get his cards/palm read [which was SUPER hilarious because he absolutely did not want to do it], and we just generally walked around the Quarter and looked at everything.

I love it. I know it's busy and touristy and always has a slightly foul odor....but in my opinion, it is absolutely beautiful.

Also. If you can't tell by some of our expressions...we were pretty exhausted by the time we got to Cafe du Monde. I think we both could've slept on the table.

...and then there were drive thru daiquiris.

If you've ever been to the Quarter, what's your favorite place? :)

  1. ugh, I am so jealous. We tried to go to New Orleans on our way to TX but there was a huge festival going on and it was way too crazy! Maybe next time!

  2. Drive-thru daquiris are literally the best thing ever. Such convenience. Cafe du monde beignets are so delicious! NOLA is such a beautiful city. Love your necklace!

  3. I love New Orleans! Your post makes me want to take a trip down there and visit again... I must do this soon. I went down there once when a big music festival was going on (but there's probably always one going on, haha) and it was just lovely, but I'd love to have more time to explore every corner of the French Quarter!

  4. I'm very jealous of this trip! My bf wants to go to NOLA so much because he's only ever seen in in crazy films. (Plus it's about as far from England culture wise as imaginable) x
