My First EVER Blogger Date!

A few weeks ago, I got an email from Caitlin at The Pearl and the Pilot about the fact that we live in the same city! She happened upon my blog and shot me a message asking if I'd want to meet up sometime. And, OF COURSE, I freaked out and said yes! It look a little while, however, because classes/work have kept me so busy. A few days ago, Mississippi got hit with some pretty bad weather (tornados included), and Caitlin text me to make sure I was alright and also asked if i wanted to come over the next night to ride out the storm in a real house [instead of my apartment. yay].

Again, of course I said yes.

No storms or tornados actually happened that night, but I did find out that Caitlin is an AMAZING cook, has an adorable child, and really really really hates scary movies and ghost stories. I'm the complete opposite, so telling her about my experiences with ghosts was hilarious. But seriously though, why can't more bloggers live around here? She didn't look at me weird when I was taking photos of her food, and that's basically the best feeling ever.

I loved it. I love her.
I stayed over there much longer than I'd planned to, but I needed a little stress free time before getting back to these last few days of finals.

Have you ever had a blogger date?
If so, tell me about it in the comments!

[and if you'd ever like to meet up, I'd LOVE to! :)]

OH. And of course, an obligatory iPhone selfie.

Happy Friday!

  3. How exciting! It looks like you girls had fun, and it must be so nice not to get weird looks for photographing everything. I have a blog buddy who used to live where I live. She still visits her family here from time to time though, so we have made plans to hang out next time she's down. I can't wait!

  4. We totally did! I'm from a pretty small town so I'm not used to having another blogger close. :) That's awesome that you have that friend!

  9. I've never had a blogger date but it would be so much fun. For once, I want someone not to look at me funny when I grab my phone and say, "This has to be a blog post."

  12. Yes! If only. One of the downsides of living in a smaller city.

  13. YES. That would be wonderful, haha. My boyfriend understands but he even still looks at me weird sometimes.
