About a month ago, I was chosen to receive the HerCampus' Spring Break Survival Kit and I've been so busy using the items that I actually almost forgot to post them! This is the first spring break in a few years that I haven't gone out of town so I was even more excited to have something to test out while I'm home this week (our spring break is a week later than most!). I cannot express how much I loved everything that I was given, but in an attempt to - here are my reviews!
// First was the bottle of Neuro Sleep and eye mask that they included with it. It's less than 50 calories and non-habit forming - AND it tastes delicious! It works by using Melatonin and Magenesium, which I normally take in pill form before bed, so I figured it would do its job. And it did! They have other flavors that you can try as well if you don't like the mango. Just as a side note, I would drink it about half an hour before you want to fall asleep. It works best that way.
// Second was the hair care. Both Biotera and Tresemme gave samples and LOTS of them. Since my hair is basically damaged until the end of time, thanks to all of the bleaching, straightening, and primping, I almost squealed with joy when I saw the massive amounts of healing shampoo and conditioner and I've been using it ever since. My hair has definitely calmed down a bit on the frizziness and feels 10x better than it normally does. Both of these are fabulous.
// General HerCampus swag was added in as well, and these koozies/cup/glasses are absolutely adorable. I'm normally not a pink kind of girl, but I've used this cup basically every day and my drink is in the koozie right now on my nightstand as I type this. And I'm always losing sunglasses, so these are staying in the car compartment meant for sunglasses so I'll always have at least one pair around.
// Possibly my FAVORITE things in the box are the free coupon cards to Chipotle. We don't have a Chipotle in my city, but there's one in the city next to us, and I would literally eat there every day of my life if it were possible. I'm surprised they've lasted as long as they have. Aside from that, HerCampus provided me with a decal that is now attached to a blog notebook I have. Yokini and European Wax Center threw in a bunch of discount cards as well. For Yokini, a 20% off dicount card with free lettering on bathing suit of choice, and for EWC, a FREE wax with the HerCampus discount card! Just use the code HERCAMPUS and you can book online here!
I could not be happier with the Survival Kit and it definitely helped me get through the week (and is still currently helping my hair to not fall out). Big thanks to everyone who contributed to this box and to HerCampus for sharing their swag!
