One Of My Favorite Drinks

While we were in Memphis for Valentines Day, I got one of my favorite drinks at Grawemeyer's - a Walk Me Down. However, I generally add pineapple in mine (as I do with most every other drink), and I told the bartender this. He mistook me for saying that I wanted pineapple instead of Blue Curacao though, so the drink ended up being about half pineapple juice. but it was so delicious that I may start to make it this way myself.

In case you were wondering how to make this particular take on a regular WMD, it is as such:

// 1/2 oz. vodka
// 1/2 oz. gin
// 1/2 oz. tequila (clear)
// 1/2 oz. rum
// 1/2 oz. triple sec
// and fill the rest with pineapple juice!

It's SUPER easy to make, and if you have to make quite a few drinks for an occasion, you can use cheaper brands of the alcohol because the pineapple juice is enough to cover the extra bite.

And if you want the regular walk me down, all you do is add

// 1/2 oz. of Blue Curacao
// splash of sweet and sour
// splash of sprite
// splash of pineapple (optional :) )

Mix all of it in a shaker filled half filled with ice (or just two glasses that fit together), then pour into a tall glass!

Have you ever made one before? Do you like WMDs?
If you have made them, how did you do them differently?

  3. This looks delicious! I am not a big fan of pineapple juice so I'd probably try the regular version, but might definitely try both. Thanks for the recipe!
