Describe a distinct moment when your life took a turn.
i've had a lot of times in my life that could take the win for this prompt, but after thinking through them all, i settled on an extremely simple choice.
i've always been an extremely independent person. i'm a dreamer, and i have HUGE dreams. i want to travel the world. i want to live in NYC, Edinbugh, NOLA, and a few other places for at least a year of my life. i want to meet JK Rowling and Tom Felton. i want to work for a book publishing company as a copy editor and i want to work with a magazine at some point. in what area? i'm not really sure. i want to get experience with everything i can. i want to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. i want to write a book. i want to be able to afford my own apartment/insurance/groceries/life things without needing help from a loan or family/friends. i want to adopt a child one day.
i want a lot of things, guys.
and the turning point in my life was when i finally realized that i CAN actually do all these things and more. there is nothing holding me back from all of this but me. and ever since then, i am much happier of a person. not that i was deeply depressed or even unhappy with my life beforehand, but knowing that i can honestly do these grand things with my life, and that others have done even more, makes me happy to get up everyday and continue working towards it.
you go, Walt Disney.
hope you're all having a wonderful tuesday!
