Saturday, January 12

day 50. organization.

as i've mentioned before, i'm a pretty busy person.
i'm in the honors program at my university.
i'm taking 18 hours this semester.
i have a waitressing job.
a job in the admissions department on campus.
and i'm about to get a night job on campus as well. [hopefully.]
i go to church on sundays when i can.
i go home on saturday nights and stay til sunday afternoon so i can see my family.
and...
no. i think that's about it.

but with all of that on my plate, there are times that i literally feel like i'm forgetting something.
every minute of the day.

so i make sure that i stay organized.
how do i do that, you ask?

with these-

^ Leana showed me this $5 investment at Walmart one day. all it does is hold money for me. but it holds it in the budget that i've set for myself. for five dollars, i keep up with my tip money and how i want/need to spend it.

^ this baby planner i got at Books a Million. it was around $10, and i carry it in my purse with my at all times. i write in it throughout the day, scribble out plans and make new ones, jot down dates, etc.

^ this planner is my LIFE. though i carry a baby one around with me throughout the day, this is the planner that stays on my desk. it has all of my solidified dates in it, along with my day to day schedule. i got it in my campus bookstore for $8. with my book voucher! oh, happy day. i love planners.

^ last, but not least, i keep this small notebook in my purse as well. from grocery lists to budgets to remembering what i need to go do after class, this is filled with random nonsense encompassing my day.

and with all of those together, i can live an [almost] normal life, and still have time to blog. (:

you should all invest in a planner, at least.
they're life savers! really.

happy saturday!
xoxo

  1. This is such a great idea! I may have to try the first thing you have on there. It is so hard to budge money!

  2. That divider pouch is a good idea. I have one similar that I use for coupons, but thats a great idea to use it to budget money!

    1. It is! And I don't spend as much, because I don't remember to check there for the budgeted money.

  3. Great ideas! I like the dividers.
I want to get a planner. Something about a paper one is more fun and personal than a digital app or program on a phone.

    1. You definitely should! (: Also, I promise I'll finish your letter soon! It's been crazy the past few days, what with moving back in and starting class and all.
